                           6.6 Water resources zone with the area of 7,902,556 rai or 2.46 percent of
                             total land areas, considered by reservoirs in present land use both natural

                             and man-made reservoirs.


                           6.7 Historical zone with the area of 89,991 rai or 0.03 percent of total land areas,
                             considered by registered ancient sites and historical parks for the whole
                             kingdom from Fine Arts Department.

                           6.8 Recreation and open space zone, considered by 2  tourism development
                                                                               nd
                             plan (B.E. 2560-2564) that delineates tourism development zone.


                     Advantages of land use plan of Thailand


                           Land use plan is prepared as a guidelines for the use of land in Thailand based

                     on potential of land and natural resources for each activities and to set up policy and
                     measure for the use of land following development aspect on the basis of limited

                     natural resource under the situation and physiography of the country suitably and
                     sustainably. Therefore, Land use plan of Thailand would be able

                           - to present the overview of the suitable use of land
                           - to be guidelines of the use of land based on the land suitability particularly

                     agricultural development.

                           - to support government and private agencies in the use of land for land
                     development both in and out of agricultural sector.

                           - to delineate the boundary of agricultural protected area of the country.

                           - to reveal the potential of land for different activities.
